British Ambassador to Brazil will work in
Brexit Department
[24 November 2016] The Department for Exiting the European Union has announced that Alex Ellis, British Ambassador to Brazil, will be its new Director General.
He will assume his new role in January 2017 after three and a half years as chief of the British Mission in Brazil.
As the new Director General, Alex Ellis will be responsible for the negotiation strategy and for relations with European Union Member States and Institutions.
