HEADLINE FROM THE FUTURE
2020 DATING SERVICES FIND YOUR PERFECT MATE
It took 10 years and millions of dollars to sequence the estimated 25,000 genes that make up the human genome. Today, for the price of a medical checkup, you can have your personal genome sequenced, scanned for mutations, and uploaded to your computer within hours. The technology is a boon for dating services, which now allow users to post their gene profiles and preferences online. For a hefty fee, these companies will even analyze your genetic compatibility with selected mates and predict health risks for potential offspring. The prospects look rosy for elite progeny.

Mark true (T) or False (F) for the following statements:
I. It will be possible to analyse health risks for the couple's children.
II. There is an extra fee for analysing genetic compatibility.
III. This is a future prediction.

DESKTOP HARD DRIVES SHRINK
When you say "3.5-inch hard drive," most people think of desktop PCs. But that presumption is changing as 2.5-inch hard drives find their way into desktop PCs and servers.
The trend first took hold with servers and enterprise hard drives, as 2.5-inch drives achieved high rotations per minute— 10,000 or 15,000 rpm-and better performance while generating less heat than 3.5-inch drives.
Now, consumer PCs are moving to 2.5-inch drives as well. A push toward smaller, design- and energy-conscious systems underlies manufacturers' inclusion of 2.5-inch drives in desktops. Mainstream desktop manufacturers use laptop components to build the compact PCs of the future, so it makes sense that some compact PCs have 2.5-inch hard drives inside. Even power desktops can get into the 2.5 inch game with Western Digital/s VelociRaptor hard drive, which zips at 10,000 rpm. Capacity is no longer an issue: 250GB to 320GB 2.5 inch drives are commonplace, and 500GB drives have begun shipping. But 2.5-inch drives won't take over on the desktop: Since 3.5-inch drives offer a better price/capacity ratio, 3.5-inch drives will continue to prevail.

According to the text, why will 3.5-inch drives continue to be used in desktops over the 2.5-inch drives?

TRUTHS ABOUT NUCLEAR POWER
1. Today one-third of the world's people have no access to electricity. By 2050 demand for electricity will triple. Countries with large populations, like China and India, are turning to nuclear energy.
2. Nuclear reactors emit no greenhouse gases. Today's plants are preventing emissions of 2.5 billion tons of CO2 annually.
3. Nuclear is the only energy industry to take full responsibility for all its wastes. In countries using this form of power, radioactive wastes amount to less than 1% of total national wastes.
4. Reactors can now be used for desalination to meet the world's growing shortage of clean water. New reactors are expected to produce hydrogen and battery power for clean-energy cars.
5. Chernobyl spurred the creation of the World Association of Nuclear Operators. Today's reactors use a "defense in depth strategy," comprising multiple layers of backup safety systems, to prevent the release of radioactivity even under a worse-case scenario.
6. U.S. public support for nuclear energy has reached 70%, a record high.

II. Substituir um dos tratores utilizados atualmente por outro de menor custo operacional.
III. Retirar um trator da produção.
