Manage your money

Congratulations! You have received your first salary. How are you going to spend it? Are you going to go out and buy that new cell phone or those cool sneakers? Well, don’t! Before you spend a cent, you have to make a budget and plan your spending. First, write down your income (how much money you receive). Then calculate your expenses (rent, transportation, food, etc). If your expenses are  than your income, you are on the right road! Now you know how much money you have left to spend each month. But don’t overspend or you will have to borrow money. Borrowing money from the bank is expensive. Interest rates are high. Always check to see if a friend or family member can lend you the money.

You also have to think about the long term. How are you going to pay for that holiday at the beach or buy your family presents? You will have to save money every month. So, that new cell phone can wait. Manage your money and maybe you’ll be able to take that holiday at the beach - in Mexico!

to give an instruction to an artificial intelligence (= a computer system or machine that has some of the qualities that a human brain has, such as the ability to interpret and produce language in a way that seems human, recognize or create images, solve problems, and learn from data supplied to it) using natural language rather than computer language:

• Generative AIs can be prompted to create content that appears entirely novel.

• Successfully prompting a text-to-image AI model often involves a lot of experimentation in how to add and order words to get the results you want.

Simone Biles draws A-list celebrity crowd at Paris Olympics

Brandon Livesay
28 July 2024

As Simone Biles eyes up a chance at another Olympic medal, a row of A-list celebrities are watching on.

The seven-time medallist is one of the most high profile athletes at the Olympics, and her stunning performance in the artistic gymnastics on Sunday drew celebrities like it was Paris Fashion Week.

Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Tom Cruise, American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and Snoop Dogg were in the crowd to watch the American gymnast.

Biles is considered by many to be the GOAT of women’s gymnastics (the greatest of all time).

She was forced to pull out of several events at the Tokyo Olympics after suffering a disorientating mental block, and many wondered if she would compete again. Her return to the Olympics stage is a major drawcard, and Biles rewarded the crowd with a dazzling performance.
